Professor Keith Chan

 

Dr. Chan is a consultant for biotech/pharma companies in drug development and regulatory strategy as well as full-process experimental design and execution. Prior to this, he was the Division Director in the FDA Office of Generic Drugs.

He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutics at the University of Minnesota and worked for Ciba-Geigy Pharmaceuticals (now Novartis) for many years.

He has served as a professor at the Intellectual Property Research Institute at the National Changchi University in Taiwan and the School Pharmacy at the University of Maryland as well as an adjunct professor for various universities in Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, and Singapore.



Professor Wei-Shiung Yang

 

Dr. Yang is distinguished professor in graduate institute of clinical medicine, and department of medicine, National Taiwan University (NTU). He is also the director of the department of medical research in the university hospital. His clinical expertise is in endocrinology and metabolism.

He also acquired his Ph.D. degree in genetics from the University of Washington in Seattle, therefore, is well experienced in basic science research.

He also established the very first master program for clinical trialists in Taiwan. In the past 20 years, he received many teaching and research awards, from several organizations, including National Science and Technology Council.



Professor Carmay Lim


Dr. Lim was a Distinguished Research Fellow at the Institute of Biomedical Sciences, Academia Sinica, and a joint-appointed Professor in the Chemistry Department at National Tsing Hua University. She earned her Ph.D. degree in Chemical Physics from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, and pursued postdoctoral research at AT&T Bell Laboratories, Murray Hill, and Harvard University.
 
Dr. Lim has held faculty positions in the Departments of Medical Genetics, Biochemistry, and Chemistry at the University of Toronto before being recruited to Taiwan in 1995. Her career is marked by many awards, including the Outstanding Scholar Award from the Foundation for the Advancement of Outstanding Scholarship (2003), the Ministry of Education Academic Award (2009), and the Ministry of Science and Technology Outstanding Research Award (1998, 2013, 2018). Most recently, she was honored with the Fukui Medal (2023).
 
Dr. Lim’s research contributions have resulted in over 190 publications, including invited reviews in reputable journals such as Chemical Reviews. Additionally, she serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of several journals and was a past board member for journals such as the Journal of American Chemical Society.
